SOLARIG® INSTALLATION

in SOLARIG®

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

AHS hereby gives notice and warning that use which is not in accordance with instructions could cause the sheets to deteriorate and will void PIC PLAST’s liability.
You must be careful with and pay attention to several details during both the assembly and ongoing maintenance so that these sheets will serve you for many years. Read carefully and pay attention to the following details:

1. Storage:
Rolls of sheets should be stored in a dry, shaded area.
2. Sharp corners:
Metal structures: The frames should be carefully checked and any sharp corners repaired or covered with protective material.
3. Remember:
Direct contact between the sheets and the structure may damage the sheet.
Additionally, the sheet should not come in direct contact with PVC. This will damage the sheets as a result of a chemical reaction.
4. Frame corners:
The outer metal frame corners should be covered with a Protective foam strip.
5. Installation:
When Installing a Double Layer System:
A. SOLARIG® Roof 172 will be installed as the top layer
B. SOLARIG® 140 will be installed as the bottom layer
Be sure to follow the instructions printed on each cover to insure proper installation. The printed instructions will identify the inside layer of each sheet. When installing the sheets on the structure, be sure to stretch them tight, with no folds or flaps.  Flapping of the sheets against the structure because of wind can damage the product.  The use of batten tapes on single covers is recommended. A good way to check if the cover is stretched tight enough is to drop a coin on the cover after the installation. If it jumps back, it’s fine. If not, it means you should stretch it more.

6. Maintenance:

It is recommended to clean the sheet periodically with water and a soft brush that will not damage the material.

7. Save a sample:
A. After attaching the sheets to the building, a 0.5X0.5 meter sample should be cut from the remnants. The code number which is printed on the back of the supplied sheets should be kept. In the event that there is no serial number marked on the sample, the number should be marked with a permanent marker along with the location from which the sample was taken.
B. This sample should be stored in a cool place.
C. Upon discovering a defect in any one of the sheets, PIC PLAST’s field service division should be notified immediately in writing or by Facsimile.
D. Our representative should be given the opportunity to check the damage, which was caused to the sheet.
E. In order to determine the cause of the defect in the sheet, a 0.5X0.5 meter sample should be taken from an area near the damage (but not from the damaged area itself), and sent to our representative together with the first sample which was taken at the time of the installation. Please note the number of the warranty instrument together with the samples that are sent.
F. Theses samples will be subjected to a tensile strength inspection, and if the comparison shows a loss of strength of 50% or more, the factory will supply a new sheet to place of the damaged one within a reasonable time, in accordance with the warranty instrument.
